First time I signed up I was like, ok, this is another great way to waste time! But actually I’ve discovered it’s a great tool for communication and connection. If you haven’t a clue what I’m on about, Twitter is the latest ‘thing’, it’s a new form of micro-blogging, think of it like adding Facebook, blogging and SMS together, the result would be Twitter.
One fantastic thing about Twitter is you can follow updates from Hillsong, as well from Ps Brian & Bobbie, Ps Andreas & Lina, plus many others. It’s a great way to get the latest on what’s happening all around the world in church. I’ve been so inspired by some of Ps Brians posts recently, the other day he posted this:
“Great churches are not defined by music or preaching. They’re built on God and people. Preaching and worship connect us to God and His plans.”
Wow! We just had a meeting with some of the team leaders in church, and Eric read this out. Stuck everything right into perspective, which is always good! It’s always gotta be God-focused and people aimed. It was so great tonight, seeing leaders focused, excited and determined with what’s been placed in their hands, with the goal that what we do, what we give and what we build toward, provides a platform for people to meet, connect with, and be blown away by an incredible Father in heaven! What a privilege and honour it is to serve!

I still at Hillsong Conference in Sydney. I really, really feel like my love and hunger for Jesus has grown so much deeper this week. I have been so impacted by all the worship and all the teaching. I am more determand than ever to keep on loving Jesus and building His Church.
I feel like God has given me a word and a vision for the second half of 2008 for Passion Church. I’m gonna be talking about that on Sunday. I land just a few hour before Church but I will be in good shape because I really feel like I have a message for us.
We will try to upload some new videos here in a few hours if the technology and the extremly slow internet connection at the hotel let’s us.

Today was a great day in church, I’m not gonna say much on what happened, as you can check out in the reportage! But what’s cool is how everyone pulls together to make church happen, from the guys setting up and packing down to people just hanging in DeCapo, making friends and building relationships that strengthen the unity to people serving coffee in the foyer, everyone’s doing a fantastic job! I really believe the more you and me take a hold of the fact this is ‘us’, the body of Christ, his plan to reach humanity, and that our every part makes up the whole, we will see such strong impact from our contribution. I wanna encourage everyone, (including myself!) to take the next step in what church is to you, maybe that means becoming part of a team, maybe it’s to increase your contribution in church, or maybe it’s simply a decision, a decision to not just attend church but to ‘be’ church - it’s an ownership.
It’s definitely exciting to be a part of something bigger than ourselves! Have a great week everyone and see you soon!
