Stanley Cup is the name of the finals series in NHL (National Hockey League), the best hockey league in the world. Those who know me know that I’m a sports freak. I love sports, most of all football and hockey. I’m really working on getting to like the different games where you can pick up the ball with your hands. Some of my best friends live in Australia and really love rugby, at first watching grown up men pile up on the pitch with way to tight shorts trying to grab the ball with their hands was hard to get my head around. But as it’s been explained to me and I’m getting the basics of it, I’m starting to like it. Just what I need, another game to follow =)
Well tonight my love for hockey keeps me up to watch the third game of the Stanley Cup between Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins that started 2.15 am. Needless to say I behind the Red Wings because Sweden has seven players on the team!
I’m probably gonna wake up to an email from someone wondering what this has with ministry to do. Here’s the answer: Sports and Ministry are both part of the same awesome thing called life… You might as well enjoy it. I’m all for working hard and playing hard.
Let’s go Red Wings!
For the past few days there hasn’t been much activity on this blog, actually it’s been so dead that one of my best friends Magnus Persson (www.united.nu) called me today to see if everything is ok. Well everything is good, just been so busy, we’re renovating our home and Church is more hectic than ever. Sometimes when you’re doing what you love one week can feel one day.
Oh, by the way. We just found out today we’re having a girl. She is due October 26. Perfect, I can be at Hillsong Conference in London and still make it in time for the arrival. My home is being filled with girls, I’m so out numbered as a man. Thank God for all my sports channels! But I do love them, including my sister who is part of our family.
Pretty awesome to have friends like Magnus that cares about you enough to pick up the phone and check if everything is ok, which reminds me I was supposed to call him back…
What a glorious Sunday it was yesterday! Wonderful worship, ice cream for everyone, mothers who was congratulated on Mothers Day and practical teaching that will help one to achieve success in life! Best of all, of course, that there were people there who decided to follow Christ.
I really love to be a part of Passion Church! What a strength it is to have such a big family! Lot’s of brothers and sisters to share your joy, and lot’s of brothers and sister to carry you during tough times.
What could be better than to invest your life in building the House of God? A really easy way to do that is to just keep turning up every Sunday! Have a great week!

Tuesday night was the premier of DNA. DNA is a meeting we are gonna have 3-4 times a year. We have long missed a forum were we can paint the picture of the future as we try to unfold the vision of Passion Church. But also follow up on the journey so far. We had a great night, we talked about some of the defining things God has done during the first 18 months in Church. It blows me away when you add it all up. I believe that we all were in awe when we saw the facts and statistics of growth, salvation, finances and everything God a has done with our 2 fishes and 5 breads. I think this night is a night that we will look back on and say that it really helped define and shape us as a Church. We have a statement in Passion Church that really describes the outcome of the night and the thought we left with:
Passion Church does not build on the gifts and talents of a few, but on the sacrifices of many.
Well, after this night a believe we can take on the future knowing that we serve a big God that really builds His House.
The Best Is Yet To Come!
What a privilege to be a part of Passion Church! I really get excited when I think about all the great people joining in to serve and build the church, on a regular Sunday like this! We often say that we´re not building the church on one or two strong gifts but on many peoples small contributions and that´s so true. Together we make a Sunday work! I´m thinking about the New People team that are making sure that all new guests are well taken care of, or the production team making everything flow smoothly in the service, or the music team giving every they have in the music to help people seek God and experience his lovely presence. I could go on for a while… but I really want to encourage you to be a part of a team! First of all, its fun! And second, while we´re having fun we´re doing the coolest thing on earth, building the house of God! Come on and try, you´ll love it!
So I guess I don´t have to say that todays church was awesome… Andreas was back after his trip to Australia, inspired and prepared with a strong message. He talked about the storms in life and how to manage to ride through them, that the word of God and all the promises is a light trough these storms and on the path ahead of us. I know that so many of us where moved by the word today…
Can´t wait until Tuesday and DNA! See you there? ☺ / Ida
I woke up this morning to the smell of home made bread. My wife and daughter made bread for the second morning this weekend. Must be a pregnancy thing, but keep it coming =) I love spending time with my family on Sunday mornings, I try to make the most of it now because in the future we will have multiple services through out the whole Sunday, that will be fantastic!
Today I’m starting a two part series in Church called “peace in the midst of the storm”. Life is full of opportunities but the reality is that it’s also full of storms. But I have found that some of the best gold in life is found in the storms if we keep our eyes on Jesus. I believe these messages will bless you, our goal and purpose with the teaching on Sundays is that it will give you Godly wisdom and principals that will help you do great in life. So see you in Church in a few hours.
Today I’m also cheering for Magnus Persson and the guys at United in Malmö who runs a marathon in Copenhagen. I have faith in you, you can do it! I’m glad I don’t have to.
I had lunch today with two of our awesome leaders in Church today, Tobbe and Dan. Great ideas came up and I really love what these guys bring to the table with their gifts, commitment, attitude and hard work.
This morning I had coffee with Eric. Few people has put in so much time and energy in Church as he has done. He is definatly one of the most passionate fellas I know.
The potantial for success in life is very much determend by those you chose to do life with. I believe with the leaders we have in Passion Church the future looks very bright!
I’m back in Stockholm and preparing for Sunday. I love having the opportunity to travel and preach but there is no place like home. I love Sunday Night Church in Passion Church and I am so looking forward to this Sunday.
I hear everyone who has spoken has been awesome so I maybe need to step up my game a few levels =)
I do love the fact that Passion Church is not built around one persons gift but one the contribution and sacrifices of many people. I’m proud to be apart of such an awesome group of people!
So again, Sunday is gonna be off the hook and I believe I have a message that really has the potential to impact and build your life. I am so excited!
See you on what could be our best Sunday Night Church so far!
I’m sitting in London on the way home from Sydney. The last few hours I’ve been working on DNA, a new thing in Passion Church. I believe that is gonna be fantastic. We’re gonna have DNA at least 4 times a year.
The night is gonna be full of vision as we paint a picture of everything that’s a head of us, challenges and opportunities. But also a chance to get information about how we have been going so far in area of leadership, ministry and finances.
So what ever you do, don’t miss DNA May 20th in Elimkyrkan.
Oh by the way, I can’t wait for Sunday. I believe I have a good word and I am so looking forward to be in Church!
See You There!

What a great day in church!
Today, I had the privilege of both playing guitar and preaching in church! It was an exciting challenge, and I can not think of a church where people are more encouraging and enthusiastic!
I spoke about David and Goliath, and that the reason why David could beat Goliath had to do with with how great God is and that David was also well prepared for what was to come.
There’s loads we can learn from David’s life! It is exciting to delve into
what’s in the Bible, and apply it into our everyday life. We have an awesome God!
Have a great week!
