United Boys!

I’ve spent the day in London and are now waiting for another delayed flight. Looks like we will arrive in Stockholm at 2 am.
This morning we had breakfast with the United boys. Pastor Magnus and I have been friends for 18 years. He’s a great man and I really value our friendship. As I do the friendship between Passion and United.
One of the best part with this trip was that me and Eric Liljero got to hang out. He is such a great guy and such a gift to our church and to me.
Well got to run and buy a present for my wife, tomorrow is her birthday! I love you babe!

A day at the airport.

I’m supposed to go to London today for a Core Team meeting with Pastor Gary Clarke. My flight was booked for 9.10 am but here I am, still sitting in Stockholm, in the aircraft at 2.10pm. What is going on? It’s just snow! It comes every year in this part of the world. Life is too short and there is too much to be done for this crap!
Get me out of the plane now. In London please!

One Life - Make It Count.

This Sunday we’re starting a new theme in church called “One Life - Make It Count”. I think that the most under valued thing in this world is the power of one persons life when it’s attached to a cause. I think of great people like Mother Theresa, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Billy Graham and many more. Their life really helped shape the future for so many millions of people.

Although most of us will never change the world in our selves we can change OUR world. You are powerful! You have such a purpose and opportunity in Your world. I believe we are here on earth to make a difference. It might not be dramatic and get alot of attention but it can still be powerful for the ONE person in your world.

I really believe that my message this Sunday will inspire you and make you realize that you are powerful and your life holds alot of meaning. I hope to see you all in Church this Sunday.

Blessings!

Andreas

Ps: I can really recomend Pastor Brian Houstons books “For This I Was Born” and  “For This Cause”. They are the two books that has shaped my life more than any other.

Heavy Metal Dan!

Last night I was invited to the release party of the new improved version of Guitar Hero. Dan came along and he looked a bit out of place. Funny thing is that there was a time in my life when I looked like the two dudes next to him.

For all the Men!

One of my best American friends is Dino Rizzo, the pastor of Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, I spoke there a few months ago and they do a great job. They have been voted one of Americas most innovative churches several times. They  just finished up their women conference, Live The Dream, in an awesome way. Here’s how you put some MAN back in church after it has been full of thousands of women for several days.

Pastor Dino, you rock!

James Bond

I’m in a movie theatre, the commercials are rollin’ and I wait for the new James Bond movie to start. I really want to see the new movie Australia, it looks great.
Well, the cool thing is that I’m totally alone in this theatre! How nice is that. I’m gonna enjoy it like a celebrity.
Got to go… Movie has started.

Opening Sunday!

Today is our opening Sunday in our new venue GK (Göta Källare). It’s the largest night club on the south side of the city. I am so pumped! It is so motivating for me to see the passion and creativity in all our teams. We have had to build everything from scratch and pack everything down every Sunday since we started 2 years ago. All this has only been possible because of the commitment and shared vision in the teams.

We have seen people getting saved every week since the start, that’s what keeps us going and gives us the energy to pull this of week in and week out. It’s so cool to see people who have once been a first time visitor, who found Christ, now serve in a team do make sure someone else gets the same opportunity.

Sometimes I hear christian leaders talk about how hard it is to get young people to church, and even harder to get them committed to carry the load. I think when young people gets a hold of a vision and are given responsibilities they can’t be stopped.

In Iraq 20 year old men are leading troops but in church we sometimes think they are to young to lead a team or step up to responsibility. Nothing could be more wrong! One of our leaders for a team we call “New People” is 17, he is a great young man and an inspiration to us all.

That team will play a key part today as we expect a lot of new people. We can preach and sing all we want but if we don’t go out of our way to make the new people feel like this was put on just for them to connect with God and new friends we will definetly fail with what we’re trying to do.

I love doing life with young people! I’m getting older, I’m 33 years old and was woken up by my 2 daughters today with it being fathers day (how did I get here =) but hanging around young people, makes their passion and zeal rub of on me and keep me fresh.

Today is gonna be historic. Get in the game and discover the fulfillment of building Gods house and conecting people to Christ!

This is a BIG week!!!

Last night our new venue GK (Göta Källare) was full of people from our teams. I loved seeing people dreaming, designing and building. I had the same feeling that I had the day before the opening service of Passion Church 2 years ago. Back then the church was only 20 people, look what God has done since that!!!

Don’t miss the opening service at 5 pm this Sunday. And don’t miss the chance to come and hang out in our new people’s lounge from 4.30 pm. The atmosphere is gonna be electric.

I’m still blown away about the capacity and commitment in our teams, it’s amazing how you pulled last Sunday of with such excellence.

Well, in 2 hours me and Eric Liljero are flying to Malmö. We’re gonna do some training with some of the teams in United Church. Pastor Magnus Persson is one of my great frineds and we love what they are doing. We’re looking forward to hang with all the cool people down there.

That’s it for now. I love my Church! The future is so bright we all better get our sunglasses out =)
